We want to do our part to spread the word about the Raspberry Pi and show everyone how it can provide a cheap, power-efficient and ultra compact platform for everyday computing. So we’re offering you the chance to have the MakerMobile team pay you a visit this summer. You’ll be able to get some hands-on time with our Pi’s and we’ll show you the steps that are involved in getting up and running, as well as talking a bit about the hacking opportunities and exciting possibilities for projects (such as home automation and webcam-based security systems) that the Pi provides.
If this sounds interesting to you, get in touch so that we can check availability. You will be responsible for filling the workshop (capacity 10) and doing whatever promotion is necessary to achieve that. We will give priority to community groups and educationally-focused organizations, but all requests will be considered. Workshops are free to non-commercial groups, but any donations will be gratefully received on the day to help us cover costs.
Here’s the poster for the first of these workshops which is scheduled to run on Saturday 24 May outside Sunset Community Centre.
